It's been a full year, and we still haven't bought the TV.
I almost bought it last Christmas, but our old one was good enough. It's still good enough, and spending that much money just seems obscene for a luxury good.
Instead, I bought Norm a tent. We've gone camping in the new tent already. And I can stitch and watch TV just as easily with the little TV as I could with a monster TV.
